Rayong is most commonly visited as a stop off on the way to Koh Samet. But it is quickly becoming a resort destination in it's own right with several plush resorts opening up in recent years. The beach here is as good as many in Thailand and a lot quieter. You get great views out to Koh Samet and Rayong town has a good selection of facilities, including internet cafes and restaurants.
