With a history of colonisation, Malaysia both looks and feels a very different country to Thailand. Being even nearer to the Equator, the climate is every bit as hot and humid. However, there is a less chaotic feel to the country, beginning with the new, calm and extremely smart KL airport. The airport is about an hours drive to the south, but is now linked to KL by the recently opened fast electric train service.
