Location - Just off Chakkaphatdi Phong Road, not too far from the infamous Khao San Road. It is easily reached by canal (Khlong Maha Nak), stopping at Fan Fha pier. Google Map location.

The Golden Mount is actually a part of a temple called Wat Saket. It has an impressive golden chedi which sits on top of a small man made mountain, the outer brick wall is painted gold. It is quite a steady climb to the top and you are rewarded with great views all around Bangkok, in particular you get a good view of the recently finished Rama VI bridge.
